About Dad Mode Gaming
Gaming with kids. Chaos optional. Fun guaranteed.

Hey, I’m Rowan.
A 40-something gamer dad with two energetic boys under 10, a pile of half-charged controllers, and an ever-growing library of games I swear we’ll finish one day.
Dad Mode Gaming is my mission to prove that parenting and gaming aren’t mutually exclusive — in fact, they make each other way more fun. This site is for the tired-but-still-playing, the “5 more minutes” negotiators, and the nostalgic nerds now introducing their kids to the joy of pixels and power-ups.
Why I Started This
I’ve been gaming since the NES days, back when blowing on cartridges was a legitimate repair strategy. Fast forward a few decades and now I’m handing down my love of gaming to my kids — and learning just how hilarious, chaotic, and surprisingly wholesome that can be.
